what i am
Color: Jet black
Markings: None
Height: 15.3 hh
Weight: 850 Ibs
Appearance: Korak is, at first sight, your average Friesian. Jet black all over, the long, crinkled mane, the feathers, the large stature. But then, when you look closer, you see that he is hardly what you could call 'average'.
No 'average' horse has eyes of cold hate, of a burning desire to have his own way and no others, to inflict pain, A ghost like emtiness of emotion, or lack of it, apart from that anger, that hate, that desire. No 'average' horse would have their mane and tail matted and unkempt, their long forelock falling mesilly over their eyes and yet they do nothing about it. No 'average' horse would actually pride themselves on the battlescars that line his body, refusing to heal. Maybe he simply doesn't want them to. They pain him but he had learnt to numb it, and sometimes does not even care that when he has been in a battle they will bleed for hours after, that they stain his perfectly black coat with deep, red veins of blood. No 'average' horse wouldn't care.
Korak has a large build, larger than most, and unseen muscles ripple under his stained pelt. He uses this strength to his advantage and to push others around, and would not have it any other way. His large, powerful legs also help with running, the sharp black daggers pounding onto the ground and allowing him to go at speeds that feel like he is as swift as the wind.
Likes: -Mares that misbehave
-His scars
-The night
-Fear
-Seeing fear in others
-Inflicting pain
-Choices
-Battles
-Winning
Dislikes: -Mares that behave
-Bright sunlight
-Too cold or too warm
-Loosing
-Saying sorry
-Showing 'nice' emmotions (happiness, love, etc.)
-Sleeping - feels unguarded
-Being under someone

Personality: Bad.
But what do you imagine when you think of the word 'bad'? What comes to mind? An unkind person who calls others names? Who gets into fights? Who gets in the wrong place at the wrong time deliberately? Who chases others away?
Well, if that is what you think of when you describe 'bad' then you would be wrong. For Korak is not unkind, he is hateful. He just refuses to even try and understand the ways of others, for he thinks that he is the only one that needs to understand himself, and any others that try will regret it. He does not care the feelings of others, for it is simply not his problem. He himself is his problem, and he will deal with himself easilly. Any others? They can deal with themselves. Korak doesn't need a part in it.
And Korak isn't the kind of horse who will get into fights. He positively asks for them. And the funny thing is that he usually wins. This is mainly just due to practice against other, weaker souls, but he certainly does get a kick out of having a good old fight with someone else. Whatever the consiquences. Even if he looses, he will hate it sure, but later on he will see that he had learnt from it, and learnt even more ways to win. Which, as Korak sees it, is the only important thing.
Oh, and is it really so terrible to be in the wrong place at the wrong time? For Korak just places himself in the places that others would not want him, right in their faces, invading their space, in other stallions terrains, beside mares he has forced who no longer want anything to do with him... places like that.
And as for chasing others away, well, he does that natrually. Any stallion that comes into his own land and does not treat him with respect will be either chased away or fought. Some mares who displease him will be chased out and abandoned. He will never let anyone get close to him, he will just chase them out of his own feelings too. It just comes natrually to Korak. That's the main thing that scares other equines.
How it all feels. so. natural.

History: Korak was actually quite a nice colt in his youth. It is amazingly hard to believe now, but he could actually be quite sweet. Not directly 'nice', for even back then he enjoyed a good sesion of name calling or just abuse, but he was, ah, better than how he has turned out now. Want to know why? Are you sure? Well, I shall begin.
First of all, he had a good childhood, being the heir to the throne in the terrain that his parents owned. They were Neutral in alliance, and he had fun there with the other foals. If you could call his twisted imaginings fun, but anyway, the way that Korak saw it he was having a great time. The time came when he was old enough to realise that all of the other horses looked up to his father and asked him for advice - Korak could not understand it. Why not another stag? It was then, when he imposed the question, that his sire told him of why. That he was the lead, Korak's mother beside him, and he himself was the heir. Korak looked eagerly up to his father, the ghost of the glimmer in his eye that he had with him today, the ultimate need for power. And his father told him, grudgingly, that Korak's time would come when his sire was overthrown by another stag, or Korak himself did away with him.
And so, Korak was torn, as the months passed by. By this time he was a yearling, and would spend sleepless nights telling himself to just do it, do it, to just kill his father then the morning came. But he never did. He never wanted to admit to himself that he actually loved his parents. He could not kill his father. He could not cause his mother this heartbreak. He felt so weak, but he admitted it to himself.
Then, one day, another stag appeared into the lands. At first he declared that he was here to help protect the mares, but soon it became clear that he wanted to lead. He and Korak's father fought it out, and then something happened which would change Korak forever. His father did not die nobly in battle, like a stallion. He ran away in shame. Never to be seen again.
Now, this destroyed Korak. He had always thought that his father was someone to look up to, he was everything he stood for, but no. He was a fraud. A weak old fraud.
Korak turned on this new lead in a murdorous rage. He didn't bother to challenge him, or to go to this fighting area where it was traditional to do battle. Tradition? Was Korak supposed to care?
They battled long and hard, and it was thought that Korak would certainly loose, being so young, but it was his anger that pulled him through. He killed the challenger, then left the place where he had been shamed. Just like that.
